Vehicle Information
The Nonquai APC is alternately known as the Uklebe or Falcon. It was used by the SAPS (South African Police Service) for riot control, and also to protect high-risk installations.
The engine is rear mounted and the steering wheel is centrally positioned, giving the driver a wide view through the full width screen. The 8 crew in the rear of the vehicle face outwards through large mesh covered, bullet resistant windows. The 1.33m high side doors allow for rapid deployment.
The Nyala APC has replaced the Nonquai.
